The CEO stated that creating a predictable business environment with fair regulatory regimes for spectrum licensing and taxation remains key to improving the business climate and receiving future foreign investment in Pakistan.
Shaikh was previously serving as an Advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance.

To a query regarding tax refunds, Shaikh said the finance ministry was looking to enhance refunds from Rs5 million to Rs50 million depending on the fiscal space available.
