imageKARACHI: Inspector General of Police Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali paid visit to different areas of the metropolis to review the security measures taken for anti-polio campaign.

According to a press release issued here on Tuesday, IGP visited Nazimabad, Paposh Nagar, Manghopir and other areas.

Jamali on the occasion directed the concerned officials to ensure implementation of Section-144 of CrPC in the city and to strengthen the snap checking, patrolling and intelligence sharing and collection.

The police chief also ordered the SSPs of all zones to monitor the security measures taken for polio vaccinators by themselves and instructed that concerned SHOs should ensure effective coordination with anti-polio teams.

He was accompanied by Additional IG Karachi Ghulam Qadir Thebo, DIGs of East, West and South zones and other senior police officers
