imageISLAMABAD: The Federal Flood Commission (FFC) has said that presently, the River Chenab is flowing in very high flood at Trimmu while the River Ravi is in low flood in Balloki-Sidhnai reach.

According to daily FFC report on Thursday, other main Rivers including Indus, Jhelum and Sutlej are flowing normal.

The actual river flows and reservoir elevations indicates that Mangla Dam has attained its Maximum Conservation Level of 1242.00 feet.

Tarbela Dam is at elevation of 1542.62 feet, which is 7.38 feet below its Maximum Conservation Level of 1550.00 feet.

The combined live storage capacity of Tarbela, Chashma & Mangla reservoirs is 13.695 MAF as compared to last year's 13.772 MAF.

According to Flood Forecasting Division, Lahore, yesterday's Monsoon Low continues to prevail over Southern Uttar Pradesh (India) and has weakened. Seasonal Low lies over Northern Balochistan.

As predicted by the Flood Forecasting Division, Lahore, mainly dry weather is expected over most parts of the country during the next 24 hours. However, isolated thundershowers may occur over Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, & Kohat Divisions, besides, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir & Southeastern Sindh including upper catchments of Rivers Indus, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi & Sutlej during the same period.

No significant rainfall event has been reported by the Flood Forecasting Division, Lahore during the past 24 hours except for Lahore (Airport) = 12 mm.
