imageKARACHI: Three ships C.V Maersk Kinsto, C.V Najran and M.T Yas carrying containers and chemicals were allotted berths at Qasim International container Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively at Port Qasim on Tuesday, 15th April.

Meanwhile four more ship with container, furnace oil and diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was managed at the Port at 36% on Tuesday where five ships namely C.V Maersk Kinston, C.V Najran, C.V Safmarine Ngami, M.T Admore Conrurion and M.T Yas Were occupied PQA berths to load/offload containers, palm oil and chemicals respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 83,896 tonnes, comprises 43,540 tonnes imports and 40,356 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 4,091 containers (TEUs) (1,967 imports and 2,124 exports TEUs) were handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

Container vessel Najran sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning while two ships C.V Maersk Kinston and M.T Yas are expected to sail on same day afternoon.

Three ships C.V CMA CGM Maupassant, M.T Bunga Allium and M.T Al- Salam-II carrying containers and diesel oil are expected to take berths at Berths Container Terminal and FOTCO Terminal respectively on Wednesday, 16th April2014, while three more container ships OOCL Kobe, X-Press and Rio Deleplata are due to arrive at Port Qasim on 17th April-2014.
