ROTTERDAM: Soymeal on the European meals and feeds market was offered slightly firmer on Thursday with players trade thin due to the annual Dutch grain traders' dinner.
* "There was not much fresh news to make buyers or sellers keen to make much of a market today," one broker said.
* South American soymeal was offered between $1 and $4 a tonne up from Wednesday, mostly following CBOT soymeal futures and a weak dollar, which supported dollar-priced products.
* February delivery EU high protein soymeal changed hands at $573 and $575 a tonne fob Rotterdam.
* EU rapemeal was offered between one euro per tonne down and one euro up from Wednesday, mostly up with soymeal, but gains were limited by a weaker dollar, which weighs on euro-priced products and easier rapeseed futures.
Bids were scarce and no deals were reported.
