LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Lahore Friday observed Yaum-e-Ishq-e-Rasool and staged a protest rally against sacrilegious movie made by John Terry,an American pastor.
Federal Minister Samina Khalid Ghurki led the rally started from Lahore Press Club and culminated at Faisal Chowk peacefully. A large nubmer of party workers and legislatures attended the rally.
The participants were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans and demanded public hanging of blasphemer John Terry and stopping of such attacks on Islam under the garb of press freedom. They said, the West and its leader America have been continuously attacking Islam, Quran and Holy Prophet (PBUH).
They said that PPP government had registered its protest with America and asked for steps to discourage reoccurance of such acts in future.
