KARACHI: Two ships carrying containers and edible oil were allotted berth on Qasim International Containers Terminal and LCT Terminal during last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Monday.
Meanwhile two more ships scheduled to load/offload cement and chemicals also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim.
Berth occupancy remained 55% at the Port on Monday where total number of six ships namely MV,Maersk Montana, Fisher-D, Contisaphar, New Horizon, MT. Galaxy and MT. Theresa Bitung are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, canola seeds, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 87188 tonnes comprising 80258 tonnes imports and 6930 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1007 containers (Boxes) were handle at the Port during last 24 hours.
