My sex appeal goes beyond length of my skirts: Deepika Padukone

KARACHI: “Cocktail” surely worked at the box office bringing great cheer in Illuminati Films’ office. It also made Deepika Padukone overjoyed that people appreciated her brash Veronica act.

Everyone is talking about how hot she looked in the movie especially for her bikini appearance in the film. But she reprimands people from thinking that her sex appeal is subjected to her skirt’s length.

As for being comfortable with tags like sexy and hot, Deepika says that she finds nothing wrong in being called sexy at all. “I think every woman digs that whether she admits to it or not and I believe that all women are naturally sexy too,” she said.

Excluding asks her what she thinks is sexy about her and pat comes the reply, “definitely not the length of my skirt”.

“I think it’s all about confidence and self-belief. The length of the skirt has really nothing to do with being sexy and my sexiness definitely goes beyond that. Why, I think I look super-sexy in a sari too. Women can look as sensual in a sari,” Padukone said with a smile on her face.

When asked if she would continue flaunting her bikini bod on screen after Cocktail, Deepika said that she needs to feel a certain amount of faith in the director for donning a bikini.

Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone’s performance in Cocktail earned her many positive reviews. And now, the leggy star will resume shooting for filmmaker Ayan Mukerji’s “Rom-Com”, “Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani”, where she’s paired with former boyfriend, actor Ranbir Kapoor.
