Temperature is expected to start reducing in the next 48 hours but humidity to remain as high as 80 percent in the city, the Met Office said on Saturday.

Humidity may come down between 55 percent and 65 percent in the evening hours from maximum 80 percent in the morning in the metropolis.

Temperature is likely to stay between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius during the day with hot and humid weather.

In the next 24 hours, mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain wind-thunderstorm is likely in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas.

In the past 24 hours, weather remained dry in most parts of the country. However, rain fell in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, parts of Punjab.

Maximum rainfall was received in Dir as 9 mm, Rawalakot 7 mm, Parachinar 4 mm, Kalam 3 mm, Chitral, Malam Jabba and Murree 2 mm, each.
