The Turkish lira weakened to 7.0300 against the dollar in early trade on Monday to around its weakest levels since a currency crisis in August 2018 as the US currency rallied in markets globally.
At 0414 GMT, the lira was 0.4% weaker than at the close on Friday, when Turkish markets were closed for a public holiday.
