Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sindh Assembly member Shehzad Qureshi has announced to raise Rs 10 million for Layton Rahmatullah Benevolent Trust (LRBT), Pakistan's one of the largest non-government organization working to fight blindness in the country.

Qureshi said that the LRBT is running largest eye welfare hospital and there is nothing better than giving a gift of sight to the poor and visually impaired. "Therefore, in order to support this great initiative, I have decided to raise a fund of Rs 10 million for LRBT," he added.

PTI Member Sindh Assembly Shehzad Qureshi further said that LRBT is providing excellent services for the visually impaired People from all over the province and it's our social responsibility to provide maximum support to social welfare projects like LRBT for a smooth operation.

He further said that currently, LRBT needs assistance of Rs 10 billion through which 3 million poor visually impaired people will get light of life.

"We would launch a comprehensive campaign for LRBT on social media platform to attain the target of fund collection. We believed that with the help of dignitaries and donors this noble cause will be achieved to provide the light of life to the needy and blind people," Qureshi added.

He informed that since the beginning of Coronavirus, he along with his Member National Assembly Aftab Siddique is busy in relief work in their constituency. Under the relief work not only thousands of food packages were distributed but also cocked food was provided to free of cost.
