The verdict will allow Vijay Mallya's extradition to India where he will face charges in the Indian courts. The business tycoon has 14 days to apply for permission to appeal to the UK Supreme Court against the decision.

In case he does not apply an appeal against the judgment, he  would then be extradited to India within 28 days.

Mallaya, who was involved in running businesses from airline to manufacturing liquor is on default of over Rs9,000 millions in loans Kingfisher took out from banks which the authorities argue he had no intention of repaying.

Vijay Mallya denies the charges against him and is currently on bail.
