(Karachi) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Ajmal Wazir has said that there is no wheat and flour crisis in the province.

Addressing media briefing in Peshawar on Friday, he said that there is 165,000 tonnes of wheat stock in K-P. Wazir maintained that the government is committed to facilitate the masses and bring reforms in the health sector.

He said that the government has hired 2,000 doctors to deal with the coronavirus outbreak. "The coronavirus testing has been increased from 40 to 300 persons per day while it will further be extended to 2,000 in the coming days."

Regarding coronavirus cases, he mentioned that there are currently 311 confirmed patients in the province while nine people died of the disease.

The minister said that the lockdown and restrictions have yielded great results as it resulted in controlling the spread of the virus.

Ajmal highlighted that all pilgrims in the quarantine are in stable condition.

He said that the provincial government will take care of the tableeghi jamat members currently in the province. "We will make sure they don't suffer at all, some of them have tested positive and are being quarantined.
