Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced that the entry to general public at PSX premises has been stopped forthwith for their protection and social distancing. The PSX announced these precautionary measures for prevention of Coronavirus (COVID-19) spread "In order to reduce the footfall at the PSX premises and in the interest of TREC holders, all occupants and investing public at large, PSX has taken actions with immediate effect", a PSX notice issued here on Wednesday said.
The notice said that entry to PSX premises is limited only to staff as per the designated list provided by the occupants of the PSX premises. In exceptional conditions, any person not included in the list provided by the occupants of PSX premises might be allowed entry only if escorted by an employee of the occupant, the notice added.
"This decision has been taken by PSX considering its commitment to put the safety of our occupants ahead of other consideration", the notice said. The PSX requested all occupants of PSX premises to extend their cooperation in implementing the said measures.
