At least 10 people died while several were injured on Thursday after a residential building collapsed in Karachi's Golimar, now known as Gulbahar,area on Thursday.

According to media reports, 28 people have been rescued while several others are still trapped in the rubble. Rescue 1122 operatives, Rangers and police personnel are engaged in rescue operation and evacuated people to safer locations.

Meanwhile, surrounding buildings also took the brunt and authorities fear they may collapse too.

Following the incident, Sindh Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah has sought a detailed report on the building's construction.
