  • Pakistan Army launched the operation in 2017 to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.
  • Army is aware and capable of thwarting all threats to security / sovereignty of Pakistan irrespective of the cost, the DG ISPR tweeted.

As Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad which was launched in 2017, completed its three years on Saturday the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Qamar Javed Bajwa said that army is capable of thwarting all threats to security and sovereignty of Pakistan irrespective of the cost.

Director General Inter-Services Public Relation (DG ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar took to the official Twitter handle and wrote that the operation which is backed by the entire nation, achieved unparalleled success at a monumental cost paid in men and material.

He paid tribute to the martyrs and saluted the resilient nation in defeating extremists’ ideology and for their unflinching support.

"Army is aware and capable of thwarting all threats to security / sovereignty of Pakistan irrespective of the cost," the DG ISPR quoted COAS.

Radd-ul-Fasaad aims at indiscriminately eliminating the 'residual/latent threat of terrorism', consolidating the gains made in other military operations, and further ensuring the security of Pakistan's borders.
