The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will unveil the Monetary Policy Statement on Tuesday (Jan 28) for next two months. Dr Reza Baqir, Governor SBP will announce the policy at a press conference after the meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC), which will meet at the SBP Karachi before the press conference to review the economic conditions and take a decision on key interest rate. The committee had kept the policy rate unchanged at 13.25 percent for the last six months owing to rising inflationary pressures.
