Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has paid tributes to former Governor Punjab Salman Taseer on his ninth death anniversary. In the message, he said Taseer stood as a solidify wall in front extremism to protect weak sections of society. His death was a great loss for the nation besides his family and friends, he added.

Bilawal said progressive and democratic leaders and workers have always been a great asset to the party. PPP has led the war against extremism and terrorism on the political and ideological fronts. He lamented that extremism and terrorism were used as a tool to usurp peoples' rights. He vowed to continue with the struggle of Z A Bhutto, which reflects the address of Quaid-e-Azam on 11 August 1947.
