On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,297. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.153 billion and the number of lots traded was 5,378.
Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 1.217 billion, followed by Crude Oil KR 755.887 million, DJ PKR 604.425 million, SDQ100 PKR 520.005 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 13.075 million, Platinum PKR 276.222 million, Silver PKR 135.881 million, Brent Crude Oil PKR 103.169 million, Copper PKR 50.544 million, SP500 PKR 41.750 million and Natural Gas PKR 35.323 million.
In agriculture commodities 10 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 5.056 million were traded.
