On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,165. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.058 billion and the numbers of lots traded were 7,442.
Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 1.867 billion followed by Currencies through COTS PKR 1.040 billion, WTI Crude Oil PKR 740.302 million, NSDQ100 PKR 620.621 million, Platinum PKR 241.921 million, Silver PKR 208.097 million, DJ PKR 163.299 million, Natural Gas PKR 67.819 million, Copper PKR 43.351 million, SP500 PKR 32.169 million, Palladium PKR 26.788 million and Brent Crude Oil PKR 5.957 million.
In agriculture commodities one lot of Wheat amounting at PKR 4.092 million and 4 lots of Cotton amounting at PKR 2.030 million were traded.
