Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in a meeting with the Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, here on Monday said that India wants to destroy the regional peace but the struggle of Kashmiris will materialize in Occupied Kashmir.

"Kashmir and Pakistan are Siamese twins and the Indian government has written a new history of barbarity and cruelty against the oppressed Kashmiris," Qureshi said.

Both slammed the unprovoked firing on civilian's population along Line of Control (LoC) by Indian forces and paid tribute to Pakistan Army soldiers for their befitting response. They also lauded the bravery of martyr Lance Naik Zahid for sacrificing his life for the motherland.

During the meeting, other important issues also came under discussion besides the country's current political situation

Chief Minister Sardar Usman said on the occasion that Pak army has given a lesson to the wicked enemy by sending Indian army men to hell as Pakistan's armed forces are ever-ready to defend the beloved motherland. India should fully understand that the Pak army has the fullest capability to give a befitting reply to Indian aggression as 220 million people are with the armed forces of Pakistan, he added.

Usman Buzdar regretted that India wants to push the region to war by targeting civilians in the garb of baseless allegations. He said that targeting of civilians is a highly condemnable act and a blatant violation of all international laws. He said that India is unnerved after the adoption of inhuman actions in Occupied Kashmir.

Moreover, the Punjab CM chaired the meeting of the cabinet committee on law & order, which decided to take every possible step to ensure the protection of life and property of the people.

The chief minister, in his address, emphasized that ensuring law and order is the fundamental responsibility of the State and this would be fulfilled in the best of the manner by the government. "No one will be allowed to interrupt the everyday life of the people and the law will come into action if anybody tried to take the law into their hands," he said.

Provincial ministers Raja Basharat, Muhammad Hashim Dogar, Ansar Majeed Khan, chief secretary, IG Police, AC (Home), secretary information and others attended the meeting.
