Chief of his own faction, Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman on Sunday said that the government had formed a committee to hold talks with them (JUI-F) but there would be no talks with the government.

Talking to media after attending 'Khatam-e-Nabuwat' conference held at Eidgah in district Mardan, the JUI-F chief said that there would be no talks with the government. He added that all the parties would follow the decision made by the opposition Rehbar committee.

Fazl said that there was no doubt that the united opposition was on the same platform, adding that the preparation for Azadi March and sit-in was in final stage and would continue in full swing. He said, "In our party, constitution voluntary organization is present and our party is registered with the Election Commission of Pakistan".

Fazl said that the government is afraid of the 'Ansar-ul-Islam, the party volunteer organization. He added that they had no quarrel with any organization and neither had any such intention. He said that if Pakistan had a difficult time then their party and volunteer organizations would be at the forefront.

Fazl said he would announce the next plan of action himself after reaching Islamabad. The protests would be staged nationwide if Azadi March were stopped, he stressed. Earlier, large numbers of people attended the Khatam-e-Nabuwat conference.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) has cancelled a meeting with the government committee that was due to be held on Sunday (yesterday) for discussion on the anti-government march.

According to details, the party representative has said that Rahbar Committee of the opposition will take final decision regarding negotiation with the incumbent government.

Earlier, first formal contact was established between the government and JUI-F leaders after Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjarani telephoned Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri and decided to meet on October 20 for thorough discussion on anti-government march.

JUI-F's Haidri had confirmed the contact, adding that the doors for talks were never closed and that final decision in this regard would be taken by Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
