Russian third sugar beet test shows rise in weight

MOSCOW: Russia's third sugar beet test this year showed a root weight of 261 grams compared with 218 grams a year ago, the Russian Sugar Producers' Union industry lobby group said on Tuesday.

Last year's third sugar beet test had put root weight at 225 grams, but that figure from last year was rounded down to 218 grams in a table released by the industry lobby group on Tuesday.
