At least two people were killed after two unidentified person opened fire at them at Allama Iqbal International Airport on Wednesday morning.

According to local media reports, the incident took place at the arrival area outside the main airport building. The two victims were returning from Saudi Arabia after performing Umrah. Security personnel immediately reached the site and closed down the entry and exit points of the airport.

Both the suspects have already been taken into custody by the airport security personnel. According to Superintendent Police (SP) Safdar Raza Qazmi, the firing was over a personal dispute.

One of the victims has been identified as 28-year-old Zain Rafiq, who died on the spot.
