On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,169. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 11.164 billion and the numbers of lots traded were 10,342.
Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 6.793 billion followed by WTI Crude Oil PKR 1.725 billion, NSDQ100 PKR 1.003 billion, Silver PKR 422.465 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 373.135 million, DJ PKR 343.554 million, Platinum PKR 294.627 million, Palladium PKR 101.791 million, SP500 PKR 42.676 million, Brent Crude Oil PKR 29.388 million, Natural Gas PKR 26.566 million and Copper PKR 8.491 million. In agriculture commodities 5 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 2.345 million were traded.
