Kissan Board Pakistan (KBP) has announced its complete support to the traders observing strike on 13th July (today) against the taxation policies of the sitting government. KBP Central President, Chaudhry Nisar Ahmad said that the Board would stand with the traders in their struggle for acceptance of demands. He said that KBP office-bearers will also be meeting in the provincial metropolis on July 18, 2019 to give final shape to their own protest movement besides issuing a charter of demand.
Nisar was addressing a convention of the office-bearers of Northern Punjab here on Friday. It was also addressed by Chaudhry Shaukat Ali Chadhhar, Razzaq Farooq, Aman Ullah Chattha and others.
Chaudhry Riaz Warraich and Chaudhry Saleh Muhammad Ranjha were appointed as President and Secretary General of the KBP Northern Punjab in the meeting.
Chaudhry Nisar said those who were killing growers in line with agenda given by the IMF, will die themselves. He said that prices of fertilizers, electricity, seed and agricultural implement had been increased in the current budget paralyzing 80 percent of the population depending on agriculture. He said that representatives of the farmers have been directed to field their own candidate on each and every local body seat. He claimed that all small farmers' organizations had merged themselves with the Kissan Board Pakistan (KBP).
