On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,003. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 21.926 billion and the number of lots traded 20,107. Major business was contributed by NSDQ100 amounting to PKR 9.909 billion followed by DJ PKR 4.620 billion, gold PKR 3.108 billion, SP500 PKR 1.867 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.055 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 775.938 million, platinum PKR 278.632 million, silver PKR 185.783 million, copper PKR 113.871 million, natural gas PKR 7.729 million and Brent crude oil PKR 2.818 million. In agriculture 6 lots of wheat valued at PKR 23.806 million and 13 lots of cotton valued at PKR 6.540 million were traded.
