The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will not charge further sales tax on supplies made to government, semi-government and statutory regulatory bodies and supply of white crystalline sugar from July 1, 2019. According to SRO 692(I)/2019 issued here on Saturday, the FBR has amended SRO 648(l)/2013. Through an SRO 690(l)/2019, the FBR has fixed the value of supply to the CNG consumers for the purpose of charging of sales tax from CNG stations by the gas transmission and distribution companies from July 1, 2019.
For Region-I, the fixed value would be Rs 69.57 per kg and for Region-II the value would be Rs 74.04 per kg for the purpose of charging of sales tax. Region-I covers Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Potohar Region (Rawalpindi Islamabad and Gujar Khan) and Region-ll: Sindh and Punjab excluding Potohar Region.
