Spain's gross domestic product expanded by 0.7 percent from October to December on a quarterly basis according to preliminary data from the National Statistics Institute on Thursday.
That was above a Reuters poll and the previous quarter of 0.6 percent. On an annual basis, the economy grew by 2.4 percent, unchanged from a previous quarter and above estimates of a 2.3 percent expansion.
