On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,975. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 14.993 billion and the number of lots traded 11,594.
Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 5.571 billion, followed by gold PKR 3.449 billion, NSDQ100 PKR 3.151 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.528 billion, DJ PKR 681.263 million, platinum PKR 323.914 million, silver PKR 169.135 million, natural gas PKR 79.638 million, SP500 PKR 20.412 million, copper PKR 11.848 million and Brent crude oil PKR 4.704 million. In agriculture commodities 4 lots of wheat amounting to PKR 16.631 million and 26 lots of cotton valued at PKR 13.404 million were traded.
