The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has nominated five officers of various cadres of sales tax to assist the committee constituted by Chairman FBR Shabbar Zaidi to address the long standing service related issues of different cadres of sales tax officers. In this regard, the FBR has issued a notification here on Thursday.
According to the notification, the nominated sales tax officers are: Raza Ashfaq Sheikh (Cost Accountant), CREST/I&I IR Lahore; Javed Hussain Butt Assistant Director (Audit) RTO-II Lahore; Noor Hassan Assistant Director (Audit) RTO-II Karachi; Asif Saeed Senior Auditor Large Taxpayer Unit (LTU) Islamabad and Arafat Faiz Rasool, Senior Auditor Regional Tax office (RTO) Islamabad. The constitution of the high powered committee by the FBR would be instrumental in addressing issues of over 1000 sales tax officials in the country.
Under the notification, the FBR chief has constituted a high powered committee comprising Member IR Operations, Member IR Policy, Member Administration and Chief Management to address the long standing service related issues of different cadres of Sales Tax Officers.
