Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) has commenced the routine load management in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, like in the other parts of the country. In a press statement issued by Pesco here on Tuesday stated that due to hard work of Pesco staff and officers and on the special directives of Power Division, federal and provincial government, the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were able to witness load shedding-free Ramazan and Eid-ul-Fitr after a long time.
This was only possible due to the personal supervision of Federal Minister for Power Division Umar Ayub Khan and Secretary Power Irfan Ali. The press release added, now the usual load shedding has been started in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as in the other parts of country.
A large number of feeders in KP having zero load shedding , while in the areas with higher line losses load shedding will be in accordance to the percentage of their losses. Areas with less line losses will face lesser load shedding. The press release also requested its consumers not to consider the faults in electricity system as load shedding. Pesco also requested consumers to avoid use of kundas and other illegal means of power pilferage. Pesco has also made it clear that it will speed up its operation against power pilferers shortly.
