Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) former Justice Javed Iqbal Monday said that accountability process will continue indiscriminately against the corrupt elements. In an official statement issued here, he said that the NAB is a neutral department. The business community and non-government employees should fearlessly continue their work, he added.
He said that the NAB is responsible for check and balance in the government offices and public fund-related matters. The NAB is not against those working for the betterment of the country's economy, he added. The NAB chairman said that corruption is on the rise and the mega corruption cases will remain the focus for reducing corruption. He said that in Pakistan, influential people have never been completely held accountable. There is an impression that the business community and investors fear the institution, he said, urging them to continue their positive work.
