Managing Director (MD) Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA), Syed Sajjad Ali Shah has said that the standard of education had improved after the establishment of the authority and the preparation of demand-driven workforce has been started in the province. He was addressing a consultative meeting of the representatives of industry and TEVTA-TVET Sector Support Programme here the other day, said a press release issued here on Friday.
Besides, the representative of the GIZ TVET Sector Programme, Mohammad Ali Khan, the representatives of the local industries included Ashfaq Ahmad Paracha, Ebad Khan, Safdar Khan of SAFRAN and others attended the meeting. The development, he said is increasing employment opportunities for youth that is bearing positive impact on economy, which is a big achievement. He said Germany and other donors countries have expressed satisfaction over our courses designed for renewable energy.
He said that GIZ is implementing the TVET Sector Support Programme with the assistance of Germany, Norway and European Union. He said that the performance of TEVTA KP could be better judged from the fact that other provinces are adopting its designed programme that include solar energy, hydel power, electronics, garments and auto-mechanical projects. The MD TEVTA said that after bringing improvement in the standard of the vocational institutions they are now in better position to make planning for future.
