Provincial Minister for Energy Dr Akhtar Malik has said on Monday that Chinese are ready to invest in several energy projects initiated by the Punjab government. Huge investment is expected in other provincial departments, he disclosed after having a meeting with Chinese delegation of investors on Monday. Wang Tong Le and Jiang Li Dong besides officers of Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab were also present on the occasion. The Minister said that foreign investors were interested for investment in Pakistan more than ever. Chinese investment in the energy sector will help bring employment for thousands of unemployed workers.
The Vice Chairperson OPC Punjab said that our Chinese brothers have always stood by us through thick and thin and the PTI-led government is committed to strengthening this friendship further. Dr Akhtar Malik assured full cooperation to Chinese delegation. The delegation visited different sections of the office of OPC and lauded the efforts made by Overseas Pakistanis Commission.
