Two workers of the Tehsil Municipal Committee (TMA) were killed when unknown armed men opened firing in Islamia Colony area of Dera Ismail Khan, police source informed here on Monday. According to police sources, unknown armed men opened indiscriminate firing at TMA workers in Islamia Colony in the jurisdiction of Cant Police Station. Two TMA workers were killed on the spot due to firing. The attackers managed to flee from the scene after committing the crime.
The dead bodies were shifted to District Headquarter Hospital for medico legal formalities. The deceased TMA workers were identified as Qaiser Shahid and Dilawar. Police has cordoned off the area and started search operation in the nearby area to arrest the culprits involved in the attack.
