Former premier Nawaz Sharif is still awaiting an angiography on the ninth day of his stay at Jinnah Hospital. While family members of Nawaz Sharif are keeping their lips tight, the Punjab Home Department has forwarded the recommendations of specialized medical board, formed by the government, to the chief minister's office for approval before further procedure of his treatment. Besides, his medical reports have also been forwarded to the chief minister's office, sources said.
Family physician Dr Adnan said that Allama Iqbal Medical College's Principal Prof Dr Arif Tajammul could better inform on the matter. He stated that Nawaz Sharif besides suffering from a heart disease has been undergoing other diseases as well.
Regarding his angiography, he said the recommendations of the specialised medical board comprising senior doctors would be followed. "All medical boards have termed his disease 'sensitive'," he said, adding: "Angiography would determine the actual nature of the disease." Moreover, PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz got hit by a TV camera on her head when she arrived at Jinnah Hospital to meet her father.
Journalists and TV cameramen had gathered at the hospital to make her videos while entering the hospital. As she entered, one of the cameramen close to her lost his balance, with his camera hitting Maryam on the side of her head. Journalists and cameramen said Maryam's security team and PML-N workers pushed them, resulting in one cameraman knocking into her. Video showed Maryam wincing from pain walking with her hand on her head after the incident.
