Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Youth Affairs Usman Dar, Provincial Minister for Special Education Chaudhry Muhammad Akhlaq along with Deputy Commissioner Syed Bilal Haider inaugurated the spring tree plantation campaign by planting tree in Deputy Commissioner Office loan on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the salient features of spring tree plantation drive. Under the spring tree plantation campaign over 3.50 lakh saplings would be planted in Sialkot, Daska, Pasrur and Sambrial tehsils of Sialkot district he disclosed.
Addressing the ceremony the Special Assistant to PM stressed the need of proper look after of the plants to convert Sialkot into Green City and to improve the environmental conditions. The PTI government was making adequate efforts for planting billions of trees across the country to cope with the fast changing climate and environmental conditions he said.
Usman urged upon the government departments that they should come forward and play their front foot in planting maximum plants adding that special step should also be taken for creating awareness about the plantation among the masses.
The Provincial Special Education Minister while addressing the ceremony underscored the need of maximum planting tree to cope with the pollution threats to ensure green revelation in the country. Akhlaq directed the district administration that special steps should be taken for planting maximum plants on both sides of highways and green city green belts for improving the environmental condition.
