Transfers and postings in SLIC irk employees

A latest transfers and postings order has irked employees at the State Life Insurance Corporation as they believe that the said order has been issued while keeping chairman of the Corporation into dark about the officers who benefited from it.
According to the February 2 order, a copy of which is available with Business Recorder, Tahir Ahmed Khan has been transferred from the post of Regional Chief Hyderabad Region to the post of GM/Incharge Bancassurance (BANCA) and Takaful Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Headquarters of Lahore. Similarly, another Gianchand has been transferred from the post of Tenancy Section Real Estate Karachi to the post of Regional Chief Hyderabad Region, Ch Anjum Rasheed from the post of HRD Department Lahore to the post of Regional Incharge (BANCA) Lahore and M Khursheed Khan from the post of Regional Incharge (BANCA) Lahore to the post of Sector Head (BANCA) Lahore.
Sources said one career executive director in the central board of directors of the Corporation has managed to get his favourites posted to lucrative posts of GM/Incharge BANCA and Takaful Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Headquarters of Lahore and Regional Incharge (BANCA) Lahore.
It may be noted that Federal Secretary Commerce Younis Dagha is holding an additional charge of Chairman of the State Life Insurance Corporation.
The sources said a new wing of Bancassurance was introduced in the Corporation in 2013. Those who had served and worked hard to establish this product have been sidelined and replaced by the opportunists.
They said the posts relating to BANCA have been occupied by those who have no marketing experience.
They have managed to grab these posts in connivance with one career executive director in the Board. It may be noted that the rest of the Board members are holding their positions on honourary basis and they, including the Chairman Dagha, are not aware of the conspiracies being hatched by the conspirators.
Further, they alleged that the newly-posted officers are already notorious for corruption allegations and inquiries have had been conducted in the past. Also, they said one of these offices is also being patronized by one PML-N stalwart from district Gujranwala.
It may be noted that the State Life product of BANCA has become very popular amongst bankers and they pursue the account holders to buy the insurance policy because the State Life Insurance Corporation offers them heavy commission against each deal.
