LOW HEAT Cement
Bestway OPC is all-purpose cement which is well established in the local as well as international markets for its quality, durability and strength. PAKCEM OPC is all-purpose cement which is well established in the local as well as international markets for its quality and strength. It was the first product in Pakistan's cement industry to deliver up to 10,000 PSI strength, catering to the needs of housing, industrial buildings and infrastructural requirements.
Bestway is proud to present Stallion, a specially designed product, catering to the needs of local precast segment. Stallion is the only brand that satisfies requirement of releasing framework earlier, delivering a high-quality finish and strength with no surface cracking. It consists of a formula optimized by "Ultra Performance Booster" to achieve early setting with strength. It does not require additional chemicals or admixtures to enhance performance.
Sulphate Resistant Cement is designed to improve the performance of concrete where the risk of sulphate attack may be present. It also provides improved durability for concrete in most aggressive environments, reducing the risk of structural failure or deterioration. SRC provides increased workability and pump-ability giving less heat of hydration in comparison with OPC.
ECOCEM has been developed for an optimized construction solution. For the price conscious segment, intending to economize the cost of construction, ECOCEM is the cement to use as it provides an ideal balance between economy for its users and strength in its applications. LOW ALKALI CEMENT is used for all types of construction especially where high alkalis aggregate are used. It is also in compliance with moderate heat of hydration and moderate sulphate resistance cement as per standard requirements. Suitable for high rise buildings, reinforced concrete and mass construction work like dams, bridges and water tanks etc.
DURA CEM is used in construction work such as pavements, bridges & buildings and manufacturing concrete products, floor slabs, beams, culverts, reservoirs, masonry and reinforced concrete. It is a general purpose Ordinary Portland Cement suitable for all types of construction works where special properties are not required.
LOW HEAT CEMENT is very high strength cement ideal for mass concrete applications including construction of dams, large footings, large raft slabs and wind turbine plinths. It assists in minimising the potential for thermal cracking in thick concrete sections, improving later-age concrete strengths and increasing workability with large pours.
XTREME Bond is the highest quality tile adhesive product available in Pakistan. It has been manufactured while keeping in view the gaps in current tiling application products available in the market.
XTREME Tile Grout is the best quality filling material recommended for application on floor and wall tiles, ceramic and porcelain tiles, mosaics and slate tiles, marble and granite pebbles & stones and payers.
Environment
Bestway's plants are among the most energy efficient and eco-friendly plants in the country. All plants are ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System (EMS) certified. Its plants not only meet the stringent environmental quality standards prescribed by the Environment Protection Authority of Pakistan, they even surpass the international standards for emissions.
Waste Heat Recovery Power Plant
Bestway's efforts are dedicated towards achieving more efficient and environmentally-friendly production methods. After pioneering the use of waste heat with a 15MW plant in Chakwal, Bestway Cement installed two 13.5MW environmentally-friendly waste heat recovery power plants at Hattar and Farooqia and a 12MW plant at Kallar Kahar. Bestway is the only company in the industry to have installed WHRPP at all its plant sites.
These power plants have not only reduced Bestway's reliance on national grid, but also helped in alleviating the country's power crisis to a certain extent and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 60,000 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide per annum.
Air Cooled Condenser System
In another first, Bestway has recently installed the extremely water efficient Air Cooled Condenser System for their installed waste heat recovery plants. This will help in reducing industrial water requirements by more than 80% at optimal conditions.
Quarry Rehabilitation
Bestway regularly participates in various environment uplift programmes including tree plantation drives and quarry rehabilitation initiatives.
Certified Green Office
Bestway Cement ardently supports WWF Pakistan. It has recently been praised for its efforts in reducing the carbon footprint while working towards conservation and protection of environment. It is one of the only 41 companies in Pakistan which have been certified as a Green Office.
Awards & Recognition
In recognition of its efforts, Bestway Cement is the only company amongst its competitors in the cement sector to be awarded the revered Environment Excellence Award by the National Forum for Environment and Health for effective implementation of environmental friendly policies and practices at all four plant sites.
Strengthening Communities
Bestway Cement is a major contributor to Bestway Foundation, a charitable trust of Bestway Group which is focused on empowering and contributing towards education, occupational health and community empowerment. The Foundation is also certified from the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy. According to survey conducted by PCP in the year 2016, Bestway ranks 14th by volume of donations in the list of top 25 public limited companies of Pakistan.
Education
It has established a large state-of-the-art school in village Tatral, District Chakwal and a purpose-built Girls College in Gujar Khan. Recently a primary school has been inaugurated in Farooqia, District Haripur. The Foundation has been providing scholarships to hundreds of talented students throughout the country and is a major contributor towards development of various educational and health institutions across the country.
Financial Assistance
Bestway Foundation financially supports hundreds of widows and indigents in the form of monthly stipends. Out of which the majority of recipients are inhabitants of villages surrounding the areas where its plants' operate.
Health
In the area of basic health, free medical facilities are provided to the local communities through dispensaries located at all factory premises. Every year thousands of patients benefit from these dispensaries for their illnesses.
Relief for Natural Disasters
Bestway Foundation also contributes generously towards various welfare causes such as flood relief activities and projects of social and communal uplift. Recently, Bestway ardently supported distribution of food packages to almost 1500 depressed households of Thar.
Job Creation
Bestway has been instrumental in introducing hundreds of jobs for skilled and unskilled local individuals around its factory premises. Many more employment opportunities have been created in the downstream activity. Employment generation not only improves the buying power of the local population but also gives them a fair opportunity to improve their standard of living.
Training and Apprenticeship
Every year, Bestway employs hundreds of trainee engineers, management trainees and apprentices who undergo intensive training in their respective field. Apprentices are employed in various technical departments at all the factories. While some of those trainees and apprentices are retained in the Company, others move on to other industries where they successfully build upon the foundation provided to them at Bestway Cement through the training imparted to them for the advancement of their careers and contributing towards the development of the country.
