Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Tuesday accorded approval to make the record of ownership deeds available online through official website and also to launch mobile service for the provision of ownership deeds and other revenue related documents. Chairing a high-level meeting, Shahbaz reviewed in detail the performance of Punjab Land Record Authority and the future strategy.
The meeting decided to put a stop to the every bit role of patwari in revenue matters. It also decided to launch mobile service for the provision of ownership deeds and other revenue related documents. Due to the launch of mobile service facility, the citizens will get their revenue related documents at the doorsteps. While addressing the meeting, Shahbaz disclosed that ownership deeds can also be received from the branches of Bank of the Punjab in future; and added that Punjab Land Record Authority and Punjab Bank will make an agreement at the start of next month, in this regard.
