Charge d'Affaires of Sudan to Pakistan Ahmed Abdel Rhman Muhammad has underscored the need of collective efforts for boosting trade volume between Sudan and Pakistan because at present the export volume at the lowest ebb.
Addressing the members of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), he urged upon the business community should focus on Sudan market and they should establish their business hubs for flourishing the business and enjoy free facilities.
He pointed out that at present export between Sudan and Pakistan is US 50 million dollars while export between Sudan and India is US 1.5 billion dollar adding that under the situation the business communities of Sudan and Pakistan should concentrate on enhancing the bilateral trade volume to manifold.
In his address of welcome acting President SCCI Muhammad Sarfraz Butt said that the visit of Charge d'Affaires of Sudan to this export-oriented city and hub of cottage industry will result in promoting better understanding between business communities of the two countries and pave the way for enhancing trade and economic ties.
In order to exploit the true potential, which the two friendly countries hold, it is important for the business community of both sides to interact and develop strong trading relationships, he said.
He was of the opinion that Sudan Embassy should play its role in facilitating trade delegations and joint ventures between private sectors entities. Sarfraz said, "We look forward to enhance the bilateral trade and interpersonal relations through creating effective linkage with the embassy of Republic of Sudan in Pakistan".
