Tariq Saud, Chairman APTMA thanked Ambassador of Romania Emilian Ion for providing the support and sincere struggles of his country at the European Union due to which Pakistan achieved the status of GSP+ in 2014 and hoped that by this special market access to the EU countries, the Textile Industry of Pakistan would further boost its exports to new markets in future.
The statement was made by Chairman APTMA during the meeting with Emilian Ion, who visited the Principal Office of APTMA Karachi and held meeting with the members of the association. A large number of members of APTMA attended the meeting. Tariq Saud warmly welcomed the visiting Ambassador at APTMA House. In his opening remarks, he highlighted the decades old traditional and working relations established between the two countries since 1964 promoting the cooperation in political, economic, trade, cultural and other fields.
He appreciated the role of Emilian who has been successfully serving as an Ambassador in Pakistan since last seven years and actively striving for strengthening of Pak-Romania bilateral ties, and regarded his visit to be remembered long in the history of APTMA. Emilian Ion Romanian Ambassador thanked the Chairman APTMA and members of the association. He expressed that Romania is 7th largest member of European Union and his country would like to improve business and working relationship with the Pakistani partners in every sector of the economy and at cultural levels, to promote and consolidate the bilateral cooperation in the political, economic/trade, cultural and other fields.-PR
