The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan organised an educational visit for the students of Institute of Management Sciences (IM Sciences), Peshawar at SECP's Head Office Islamabad. The session started with the recitation of Holy Quran and the initial part focused on the introduction of SECP as the apex regulator of Non-Banking Financial Sector followed by its role and functions, whereas, the later part covered the significance of savings and personal financial planning for the students.
The students were told about the need for inculcating the habit of saving at an early stage and also to invest their savings wisely. They were also made familiar with different financial products and services available in Pakistan. This initiative was very well received by the faculty and particularly by the students who actively engaged in question answer session and also emphasised on the need for more events.
Before the close of session the students were also introduced to some of the alumni of IM Sciences working for SECP in different capacities. The session was concluded on the closing remarks by the Director/HoD Investor Education & International Relations Department Khalida Habib who praised the motivation and interest of the students.-PR
