Central executive committee of Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA) has expressed concern over decrease in cotton yield in the current season of 2015-16. In this regard, the 278th meeting presiding over by the chairman Shehzad Ali Khan was held here on Saturday. It had chalked out recommendations followed by modus operandi to increase cotton crop production for the new cotton season. Senior vice chairman Guru Harri Lahanu (Sindh) and a senior office-bearer Malik Sarfraz Nazim Awan were also present in the meeting.
The meeting also discussed in details on launching campaign 'grow cotton and save economy' across the country. In this regard, they prepared budgetary proposals for financial year of 2016-17. Chairman along with other office bearers demanded the Finance Minister to take note of undue notices served on ginners belonging to this region for different reasons.
