Chairman NDMA, Major General Asghar Nawaz has said that support from private sector is an important component for entire spectrum of disaster management. He said this while meeting Kinji Saito, Global Chief Suzuki Motors Company of Japan here in Islamabad on Thursday. Pakistan Suzuki Motors Company as a goodwill gesture and part of its corporate social responsibility donated 20 ambulances and 300 tents to NDMA for October earthquake victims.
Chairman NDMA thanked the Suzuki Company for this gesture and its generous contribution for the noble cause which will the response capacity of the rescue and relief organisations. Kinji Saito informed that Suzuki Company has been actively participating in the relief efforts during previous disasters in the country and will continue to offer their assistance in times of need.-PR
