Basis bids for hard red winter wheat were mostly unchanged in the southern US Plains on Monday, with icy roads limiting grain movement in some areas, grain merchandisers said. Basis dropped 5 cents at an elevator in Catoosa, Oklahoma, as buyers have begun rolling basis March K.C. hard red winter wheat futures contract as the spot December contract approaches expiration on December 14. K.C. December K.C. HRW wheat futures were last up 8 cents at $4.58 a bushel. K.C. March wheat were last up 7-2/4 cents at $4.74 per bushel.
