The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) in collaboration with Ufone conducted a seminar on investor awareness for Ufone employees at the Ufone Tower in Islamabad. The seminar is part of SECP's investor education programme launched under the brand name "Jamapunji".
The session to the attendees was about the importance of encouraging a savings culture among the employees, but the main focus was on capital market, its instruments, Dos and Don'ts for the investors and investment opportunities in stock market.
To increase the capacity of the attendees, Mutual Fund/s subject was brought under the spotlight, its functioning, pros and cons of Mutual Fund/s, last but not the least Why & How to invest in Mutual Fund/s.
The seminar was attended by large number of employees who keenly enquired about various aspects of Capital Markets, Mutual Funds and Voluntary Pension Systems. The SECP also shared its vision for the future of the investor education programme in Pakistan.
Upon conclusion of the session, the management of Ufone highly appreciated the SECP efforts for increasing investor education and awareness among the masses.-PR
