Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA) has urged the federal government to fix uniform wheat price across the country to stabilise domestic market and help flour millers plan export of wheat products in a better way. They urged the federal government to play its role in getting import duty withdrawn on wheat and wheat products which was imposed by the Afghan government so that Pakistani products become more competitive in the Afghan market.
These demands were made by PFMA Central Chairman Naeem Butt, Punjab Chairman Iftikhar Mattoo, Group Leader Asim Ahmad Raza and others, here on Monday. They asked the federal and Punjab governments to either renew their export subsidy regime for export or allow it duty-free import for the same purpose.
