The 8.1 magnitude of quake that ravaged mainly the northern mountainous parts of the country, followed by 96 aftershocks so far, according to the Met office on Tuesday. The weather has also turned hostile with snowfall and thunderstorm rain in quake stricken areas especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Malakand division, as light rain has been forecast for next Thursday.
Minimum temperature in quake-hit areas including upper Dir is expected to remain between four degrees Celsius and six degrees Celsius, lower Dir 10 and 13 and Chitral seven and nine in the next 24 hours. Rain-thunderstorm is expected at scattered places in Fata on Wednesday. In Gilgit-Baltistan, rain-thunderstorm with snowfall is expected at scattered places on Wednesday. Minimum temperature may range to nine degrees in Gilgit and three in Hunza.
